Bachelors of Business Administration (BBA)

BBA Corporate Mock Interviews 

Tuesday, January 31, 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. 

Format: In person

BBA Corporate Mock Interviews allows you to interview up to eight BBA students for mock positions. This provides a unique experience for students to build their interviewing skills and receive valuable feedback from you. Students from all BBA majors are welcome to attend. Half-day or full-day schedules are available. Space is limited – express interest here. 

 

McCombs Career Expo

Tuesday, March 6, 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Format: In Person (McCombs School of Business: McCombs Atrium and Hall of Honors)

The McCombs Career Expo provides opportunities for employers to recruit full-time and internship candidates at the McCombs School of Business. The Spring 2023 McCombs Career Expo will be hosted in person and focused on the BBA Student population, but open to all current UT Austin students for a portion of the event.

 

BBA Level Up Engagement Series 

Level Up: Leadership Skills for Career Success  

Friday, March 310:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. 

The Level Up: Leadership Skills for Career Success is part of our  BBA Level Up Engagement Series.  Level Up: Leadership Skills for Career Success is a one-day conference created to develop student understanding of leadership skills necessary for transitioning successfully into the workforce. This opportunity provides a forum for students to network, learn from employers, and hone in on specific leadership and career development competencies consistent across industries. Registration period is closed.

Master of Professional Accounting (MPA)

MPA Speed Networking (formerly MPA Meet the Firms)

Thursday, January 19, 5:00 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. 

Format: In person

MPA Speed Networking provides an opportunity to connect with students in a format that offers both structured speed networking and open networking. The primary audience is third year MPA students seeking internships for spring 2024. Space is limited – express interest here. 

 

MPA Career Dinner

The McCombs School of Business MPA Career Dinner scheduled for Thursday, February 2nd is canceled due to inclement weather.

Master of Business Administration (MBA)

McCombs Tech and Startup Night 

Wednesday, March 1, 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 pm 

Format: In person  

Network with McCombs MBA & MSTC students in an open house format, with the option to showcase your products and technology. Featuring a panel moderated by UT Austin’s Chief Transformation Officer, this industry night will bring together the local tech scene, McCombs alumni-owned and operated businesses, and current MBA/MSTC students. Master of Science Programs (MSBA, MSF, MSITM, MSM)

MS Corporate Mock Interviews 

Friday, February 17, 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. *full-day not required; ideally, we’re asking for a two-hour sign up sometime during this timeframe 

Format: Virtual 

Meet MS talent and help them improve their interviewing skills! Participating volunteer interviewers will conduct 30-minute one-on-one interviews with students and give them feedback on their performance. Express your interest here and more information will be forthcoming on how to formally sign-up for the event.

Come meet students from the Class of 2023 who graduate in May with masters’ degrees in Business Analytics, Finance, IT Management, Marketing, and Technology Commercialization. This event is designed to connect with students in informal chats and formal interviews, and allow our students to learn about your immediate hire opportunities.

 

Please keep in mind the students participating in this event are Master’s students in analytical programs, and some students have several years of experience. They have a skillset that generally translates to the following type of roles:

o   MSBA – Business Analyst, Data Analyst, Data Scientist

o   MSF – Financial Analyst, IB Analyst, Business Valuation

o   MSM – Marketing Analyst, Insights Associate, Account Manager

o   MSITM – Data/Software Engineer, Data Analyst, Technical Program Manager

o  MSTC- Product Manager/ Innovation Manager/ Chief Acquisition Strategist/ Head of Business Development/ Consultant

This fun, fast-paced recruiting event is the perfect way to fill just-in-time MBA hiring needs for both full-time and internship positions! Employers will meet with students in the morning for initial screening conversations. During the lunch hour, employers will review the resumes received and submit a closed list of candidates they would like to interview that afternoon. Interviews, facilitated with support from the Career Management Team, will be conducted in the afternoon.
